The Racial Draft backstory for South Asian Kate Bishop is as follows:

Kate Bishop, full name Katrina Bishop, is the daughter of an American and an Indian. Raised in India by her mother and her family, she never really knew her father. Her mother’s family ran a moving company called Trust-a-bhai, but it was actually a front for a syndicate called The Tracksuit Mafia.

From a young age, Kate has always been inspired by the Avengers hero ‘Hawkeye’. So much so that she used to find sticks in the nearby forest, sharpen them, and shoot them from a bow she made herself. She saw herself in the hero, as much as her family didn’t like it. The family moved to New York City for new business dealings, and Kate hoped that one day she would run into her hero.

One day, while Kate was walking down the street, danger ensued and the Avengers arrived on the scene. Hawkeye showed up but was soon incapacitated. His quiver, along with all his trick arrows, fell at the feet of Kate, who picked them up and started firing them one by one, helping the Avengers take out the threat.

Once Clint came to, Kate introduced herself to him, as the hero couldn’t believe what had just happened. Clint thanks her and tells her to meet him at a specific address so that he can gift her a proper bow. And after a few weeks of getting to know her, Clint decides to take her under his wing and train her. Under Clint’s tutelage, Kate honed her skills, becoming a better shot than she’s ever been.
